Description
The Narrative High School Writing Contest is an annual competition for students in grades 9–12 worldwide, sponsored by Narrative Magazine. The contest features an annually changing prompt and is designed to find and showcase the authentic voices of young writers.
Requirements
Submissions must be made by a student's English or writing teacher through an online portal. A teacher can submit work for up to ten students, with one piece per student. A maximum of 30 submissions per school is allowed. Essays and stories up to 600 words, poems 10-50 lines.

Cash awards and publication in Narrative Magazine. One-on-one mentoring sessions with Narrative's cofounder and editor, Carol Edgarian.
