A wide variety of poetics works here, and you’ll have the most success submitting poems that can do these three things well: Feel good leaving the mouth; Use original or interesting language skillfully; and Use visual spacing, narrative pacing, consistent meter, or any combination of these to make the reading capture the reader. In addition to the typical free verse, rhymed and blank verse is welcome, as well as lyric forms. Thematically, writing with tinges of the dreamlike or unreal is a good bet, but anything goes. Voices of people of color, neurodivergent people, and LGBTQ+ people are welcomed here.
Atlanta Review, an international, award-winning poetry journal based in Atlanta, Georgia, has been published biannually since 1994. We publish all kinds of great poetry; we do not subscribe to any particular “school.” We read and admire lyric, narrative, experimental, form, free verse, prose poems, and any other kind of poetry. Our mission is very clear and has been since the inception of Atlanta Review– “We publish poems, not poets.” This means that we read submissions without any identifying material in the file or file name. Atlanta Review looks for simply amazing poetry–poetry that delights, poetry that refreshes the spirit, that sparks curiosity, that intrigues the intellect, that fills the senses, that says something genuine about the world as well as the individual. We celebrate diversity and are open to many styles, forms, and kinds of poetry, about any and all subjects.

Our mission is to spread creativity that we believe shines effortlessly, and writing in which marginalized groups, or just everyday people, can find some sort of solace in. Our preferences are shorter pieces with resonating language.
The Cloudscent Literary Journal is a youth-run literary magazine, driven with nothing more than a desire for artists to have a place where they feel completely safe being themselves, no matter who they are and where they come from. We strive to publish work that says more about you than anything else. No limitations, no boundaries. We want to see work that floats the empyreans, morphs the skies, evokes the surreal, the avant-garde. We believe every voice deserves to be shared in a safe space, and we strongly encourage artists of all backgrounds to submit - this a spotlight for you, and everything that makes you you.
